“Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way.”

Viktor Frankl

WHAT IS COUNSELLING?

There are times when we all need support in our lives and counselling seeks to help people tackle their problems in a positive way.

Counselling offers the opportunity to talk through issues and feelings, explore options and develop strategies in a confidential, non-judgemental and safe environment.

Counselling is for individuals of all ages, genders, backgrounds and beliefs.

WHAT IS A COUNSELLOR?

Whilst any person can listen to and offer tremendous support to individuals, a professional counsellor has completed specialised training and belongs to a governing body.

Counsellors, social workers, psychologists or psychotherapists are all mental health practitioners trained to provide support, though their approaches may vary. It is important to find the right fit for you.
